Considering therapy is a big decision—one not to be taken lightly.

So take your time, ask a lot of questions, and make an informed decision based on what feels right for you. It takes courage to ask for help, but you’ve already taken the first step.

Getting started

The initial phone call:

When reaching out before a therapy session, share enough to gauge whether you want to make an initial appointment and ask any questions that will make you comfortable setting up the appointment. I will then send you an email that will give you access to a patient portal where you can fill out all your confidential personal information, so that when you come in to your appointment, all you have to do is show up.

The first session:

It all starts with the first appointment. Many people have fears about the first appointment, but the overwhelming response I get when people leave is that there is hope and relief. I start therapy with a thorough psycho-social evaluation with each new patient. This process helps me get to know you and your story. Together, we then create goals and a treatment plan.

Insurance & Fees:

My fee is $185 a session for individual therapy. I provide private pay for individuals who don’t want to be diagnosed with a mental health condition, have a high deductible plan or prefer to pay private pay. I believe that a strong relationship and feeling confident in your therapist is extremely important. If you have any questions I offer a free initial 15 minute face to face or phone consultation.
